Rosemarie Scolaro Moser, PhD, ABN, ABPP-RP

Dr. Moser is the Director of the Sports Concussion Center of New Jersey at RSM Psychology Center, LLC in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and the author of Ahead of the Game: The Parents’ Guide to Youth Sports Concussion (Dartmouth College Press-UPNE). 

A prolific researcher and author as well as clinician, Dr. Moser’s sports concussion research has been published in numerous journals including Neurosurgery, the American Journal of Sports Medicine, the Journal of Athletic Training, Archives in Clinical Neuropsychology, Applied Neuropsychology, and the Journal of Pediatrics.  She has performed groundbreaking research on a number of concussion-related issues, including baseline computerized neurocognitive testing, the importance of cognitive and physical rest after concussion, and the long-term effects of multiple concussions.

Dr. Moser received her Ph.D. in Professional Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, is board certified in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology, and is a certified school psychologist.  She has served as President of the New Jersey Neuropsychological Society, President of the New Jersey Psychological Association, and Treasurer of the National Academy of Neuropsychology.

Dr. Moser is an adjunct professor at the Widener University and a fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA), which honored her with the APA Presidential Award for Advocacy in Psychology. She currently serves on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Expert Panel on Pediatric Mild Traumatic Brain Injury.

She has served as the “Official Concussion Doctor” for the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football, Trenton Steel Arena Football, and Trenton Titans Pro Ice Hockey teams, and currently provides concussion education programs for youth athletic leagues and athletes at all level of play. She and the Sports Concussion Center of New Jersey were named 2012 “Top Doc” and 2014 “Best of Fitness” by Suburban Life Magazine, Philadelphia. 

A sports mom and longtime advocate for sports concussion legislation, Dr. Moser has contributed articles to, and appeared in a host of “teachable moment” videos for, MomsTEAM.com as a member of its Team of Experts, and was a featured expert in MomsTEAM’s 2013 documentary, The Smartest Team: Making High School Football Safer, which is currently appearing on PBS stations across the country
